  • LIFETIME EWE MANAGEMENT

    <span>Being involved in a Lifetime Ewe Management course gives you the skills and support to<br>make feeding and managing your ewes easier. </span><span>Working in groups of 5-8 farmers, which meets six times over 12-months, your facilitator, an<br>experienced sheep consultant, will work with you to implement: <br>• Early weaning strategies<br>• Maximising weaner survival <br>• Preparing ewes for next year’s season<br>• Pregnancy management across the seasons<br>• Supplementary feeding and fodder options <br>• Setting-up pastures and fodder crops for the break <br>The full cost of the program is $2,200. AWI provides a subsidy to eligible wool growers of<br>$1,000 to undertake the course, making it only $1,200 per participant.<br>&nbsp;<br></span>

    SheepConnect SA is a partnership between Australian Wool Innovation Limited and the SA Sheep Industry Fund. SheepConnect SA mission is ‘To lead change in South Australian sheep and wool growing businesses towards more profitable, resilient and environmentally sustainable production systems.

    The Sheep Connect NSW grower network is AWI's key investment in extension for the NSW sheep and wool industries. The Sheep Connect NSW mission is, "To provide NSW sheep producers with a dedicated network through which they can source relevant, reliable and timely information and expertise to enable better business decisions".

Leading Sheep is a proactive network of Queensland sheep and wool businesses; at the forefront of practical and relevant information and technology to equip progressive and thriving producers for the future. Leading Sheep is an important partnership between the Queensland Department of Agriculture and Fisheries and Australian Wool Innovation and is supported by AgForce.

    Sheep Connect Tasmania is Australia Wool Innovation’s (AWI’s) key investment in extension for the Tasmanian sheep and wool industries. The program is a joint venture between AWI and the Tasmanian Institute of Agriculture.
